Meet The Vision Source Shadow Creek Team

Since December is really a special time full of holidays, family and fun, we decided it would be really great for our friends, patients and followers to get to know the team behind what makes Vision Source Shadow Creek great.  At the core, it’s a great set of people, all helping each other to help our community see better. As you will read in this blog, some really love helping kids, some love fashion and all of them love helping you. 

Stephanie:

About: I’ve worked here for a little over 11 years.

I have a dog named Yazhi.

I just started learning Spanish.

Why I like working here: 

We have great relationships with our long-term patients.

We are all friends/family.

We have a great boss.

I like helping people see.

Glasses are cool.

There is always some new fashion or technology to learn about. 

Kiyanni:

About: I recently transitioned from Active-Duty Air Force and have been working at Vision Source since October. 

Why I like working here: 

I like working here because the staff is like having a second family. I’ve only lived in Texas since August, and everyone has been very comforting and supportive of me. It’s a pleasure to come to work every day and share laughs with my coworkers. 

Lexy: 

About:  I am one of the new amazing staff members but have worked in the optical industry for about 5 years. One thing about me is that I LOVE food and enjoy hiking in beautiful mountains. 

Why I like working here: Everyone made me feel so welcomed and comfortable on my first day. We all respect each other, enjoy our time with each other, we work together as a team and coming to work is actually enjoyable.

Yvonne:

About:  I have been here at Vision Source for 11 and a half years. I love to shop and put looks together, which is why I feel frame styling and frame buying for the office is my favorite part of being a part of the Vision Source team. My co-workers and doctors also help make working here AWESOME.

Xitlali:

About: I have been working at Vision Source for almost 5 years as the lab technician. I love animals and I’m owned by 3 dogs and 2 parrots. I recently got married and also gained a son.

Why I like working here: I love seeing the look of joy and wonder on a kid’s face when they put on their first pair of glasses and their world finally comes into focus. I’ve become very close with all my coworkers, and they are now lifelong friends.

Marisa: 

About: I have been working with Dr. Kalani for about 13 years   

I have 3 beautiful grandbabies and love having family time. 

Why I like working here: Love how we can all work together and help each other out.  We make an awesome team/family. The environment here makes it so welcoming for our patients. Dr. Kalani and Dr. Haidar are amazing to work with. 

Alyssa:

About: I have been an optometric tech at Vision source for almost 4 years. I love photography, finding new coffee shops, playing guitar, the gym, and spending time with my family/friends. 

Why I love working here: I love our patients and the relationships that our doctors establish with them. I’m honored I’m able to play a part in maintaining healthy vision. I also love my coworkers and always say that they are my second family. From the start, I felt I was valued as an employee, and team member. Dr. Kalani is not only a great boss, but also a great mentor. I have learned so much working at Vision Source and will always be grateful for the opportunity and experiences.
